Let’s focus on the notion of being in our own way. Many Disabled People say they cannot do something even though they have never actually tried even when presented with an opportunity.
What do I mean by this?
How often have you been presented with an opportunity to get more results from your business, but to do this, you have to make a modest investment first. This might be learning a new skill much quicker by learning from someone who has already achieved what you could achieve if you copied them. It could be subscribing to a online platform to promote what you do and yes, eventually sell something you provide.
You know that there is evidence that proves this can work, but a voice in your head tells you to be cautious – money does not grow on trees, what if you try it and it does not work, what if you don’t have the skills needed. In truth, it is not that we all ask ourselves these questions, it comes down to whether we are not going to be deterred and whether we actually want this to succeed deep down.
There are two things we are all programmed to fear. Loud noises and the fear of falling. Every other thing that we hear in our heads when making any decision is learned behaviour. As the Rob Moore, a serial entrepreneur says “if you don’t risk anything, you risk everything”. This does not mean that things we have developed an anxiety about, do not have a profound impact upon us and ‘disable’ us, but they can be overcome. Yes, it will be hard to start with, but like any change in behaviour, it get’s easier the more you put it into practice.
So get out of your own way and see the opportunities around you.
So, here’s what i’m going to do in the next 12-months.
In the next 12-months, I will have sold enough online products from my business so that I will have broken even. This means I will make £1.6 k, giving me a monthly income of £133.33. This would require me to make at least one sale a week of £30.77. I know I have 1000s of possible options for a low-cost online product. So, Google Trends and Semrush.com are going to be really helpful tools identifying what to sell. But this is not enough for my bigger 2 year plan. In 2 years time, I will be generating generating £30,264 sales for my online business start-up course The Impressive Business Idea Generator. based on just 3 sales a week. I haven’t included my flagship programme Enabled Life.
I am putting this out there so that you can all hold me accountable.
Now back to the most important part – it’s 80% what is in our heads.
